This course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Scissor Lifts in accordance with industry safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the principles and safe operation of MEWP Scissor Lifts.
• Identify machine components and their functions.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and emergency lowering checks.
• Safely mount, operate, maneuver, and position the scissor lift.
• Identify workplace hazards, including overhead and ground-level risks.
• Operate the platform safely at height and use platform extensions where applicable.
• Demonstrate safe loading, unloading, shutdown, and end-of-shift procedures.
• Comply with relevant health, safety, and manufacturer requirements.

Participants are assessed through both theoretical and practical evaluations.
