Course Overview

This course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Boom Lifts in accordance with NPORS standards and industry safety regulations.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the principles and safe operation of MEWP Boom Lifts.
• Identify machine components, controls, and operating functions.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and safety checks.
• Set up safe work and exclusion zones before operation.
• Safely maneuver, position, and operate the boom lift at height.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow emergency procedures.
• Perform safe shutdown and end-of-shift procedures.
• Comply with NPORS requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and industry safety standards.

Participants are assessed through both theoretical and practical evaluations.
