IWCF WIPC LEVEL 3

Course Objectives
Delegates completing the IWCF Level 3 course will be able to:

  • Reinforce participants’ understanding of well control principles and procedures with a focus on well intervention pressure control.
  • Equip participants with the skills to recognize, assess, and respond to well control issues during intervention operations, including identifying early warning signs of well control incidents.
  • Provide in-depth training on the use of well control equipment and techniques specific to well intervention operations, including blowout preventers (BOPs) and pressure control equipment.
  • Teach participants how to manage complex well control scenarios, including handling kicks, managing wellbore pressure, and executing effective well control interventions.
  • Conduct practical assessments to ensure participants are able to respond to well control incidents and execute pressure control procedures with confidence.
  • Enhance participants’ decision-making abilities in critical well control situations, focusing on safety and risk management.
  • Ensure participants are proficient in performing risk assessments, including the identification of potential hazards associated with well intervention operations.
  • Familiarize participants with industry standards and regulatory requirements for well intervention pressure control.
  • Provide guidance on maintaining effective communication and coordination during well control operations to ensure a cohesive team response to incidents.

Instructor led virtual Training via Microsoft Teams/Zoom/Google Meet.

Course Prerequisite

  1. Access to a smart device with a stable internet connection.
  2. Must be 18 years and above.
  3. No previous experience or qualifications required.
