Mobile Crane Operations

This course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate mobile cranes, perform lifting operations, and comply with industry regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and international best practices.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the principles and safe operation of mobile cranes.
- Identify crane components, controls, and load charts.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine safety checks.
- Calculate load weights and maintain crane stability during lifting operations.
- Set up cranes safely, including outriggers and exclusion zones.
- Perform safe lifting, slewing, traveling, and load placement techniques.
- Communicate effectively with Banksmen, Slingers, and Lift Supervisors during lifting operations.
- Recognize lifting hazards and apply appropriate risk control measures.
- Perform safe shutdown procedures and basic operator maintenance.
- Comply with relevant lifting regulations and industry safety standards.
Participants are assessed through both theoretical and practical evaluations.
