Course Objectives
By the end of the COSHH training, participants will be able to:
- Understand COSHH Regulations: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal requirements and responsibilities under the COSHH regulations.
- Identify Hazardous Substances: Recognize common hazardous substances in the workplace and their potential health effects.
- Assess Risks Effectively: Conduct thorough COSHH risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential exposure risks.
- Implement Control Measures: Apply appropriate control measures, including substitution, containment, ventilation, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Read and Interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS): Understand and utilize SDS information to ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous substances.
- Promote Workplace Safety: Develop and implement safe working procedures to minimize exposure and protect health.
- Respond to Incidents: Handle spills, leaks, and accidental exposure effectively, including emergency response protocols.
