The Authorized Gas Tester Course features a series of interactive exercises designed to ensure participants can safely carry out gas testing in hazardous environments. The course covers the full scope of gas detection practices, from the identification of potential hazards, selection of the correct gas testing equipment, to interpreting results, and implementing control measures.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the Authorized Gas Tester Course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the principles of gas testing in hazardous atmospheres.
- Identify hazardous gases and the risks associated with them.
- Demonstrate the correct use of gas detection equipment for various gases, including flammable and toxic gases.
- Interpret gas readings and understand safe exposure limits.
- Perform gas testing procedures in confined spaces, process plants, and other high-risk areas.
- Identify and evaluate environmental hazards related to gas detection.
- Carry out gas testing protocols and demonstrate safe practices for testing and monitoring.
- Complete gas testing reports accurately and effectively.
- Ensure the workplace is safe for personnel after gas testing is conducted.
Successful candidates who demonstrate proficiency in gas testing procedures and complete the gas testing report will be awarded certification.
