Drop Objects Awareness

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the Drop Object Awareness Training Course, participants will be able to: 

1. Understand the causes and consequences of dropped object incidents, including potential injuries and damage to equipment. 
2. Identify common dropped object hazards in their specific work environment, including tools, materials, and equipment at height. 
3. Implement effective hazard control measures to prevent dropped objects, such as proper tool tethering and secure storage practices. 
4. Recognize the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) in reducing the risk of injury from dropped objects. 
5. Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate drop object hazards in their work areas. 
6. Develop and implement safe work practices to minimize the risk of drop object incidents. 
7. Understand the legal responsibilities and regulations related to dropped object prevention in their industry. 
8. Promote a safety culture among team members by encouraging reporting of potential drop object hazards and near misses. 
9. Respond effectively in the event of a drop object incident, including emergency procedures and reporting protocols.
