Course Overview
This internationally recognized course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely coordinate lifting operations, sling loads, and communicate effectively with crane operators in accordance with OPITO standards.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a Banksman and Slinger.
- Safely attach, detach, and guide loads during lifting operations.
- Estimate load weights and select appropriate lifting accessories.
- Communicate effectively with crane operators using approved signaling methods.
- Identify lifting hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
- Comply with OPITO requirements and industry safety standards.
Participants are assessed through both theoretical and practical evaluations in line with OPITO certification requirements.
