What Will I Learn?

During the OPITO Banksman & Slinger course, participants will gain comprehensive training in:

• The safe use and handling of lifting equipment, including correct attachment and detachment of loads.
• Responsibilities of the Banksman and Slinger, including communication skills needed to effectively direct crane operators during lifting operations.
• Load weight estimation and interpretation, ensuring safe lifting practices according to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
• Understanding and applying key health and safety protocols, ensuring operations comply with regulatory requirements.
• Working as part of a team to coordinate lifting activities, promoting both efficiency and safety.

Course Certification
