Course Overview
This course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to safely plan, supervise, and manage lifting operations in accordance with NPORS standards, relevant legislation, and industry best practices.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a Crane/Lift Supervisor.
- Identify lifting equipment and accessories and their safe applications.
- Interpret lifting plans, documentation, and operational requirements.
- Apply effective communication methods during lifting operations.
- Monitor the use of rated capacity indicators (RCIs) and anti-collision systems.
- Supervise equipment setup, lifting operations, and exclusion zones.
- Identify lifting hazards and implement effective risk control measures.
- Ensure load security, balance, and compliance with environmental and safety requirements.
Participants are assessed through both theoretical and practical evaluations in line with NPORS certification requirements.
