Course Overview

This course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to identify, assess, and control the risks associated with hand-arm vibration, helping prevent Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) and ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply safe operating practices and proper tool maintenance to reduce vibration exposure.
  • Understand legal exposure limits and workplace responsibilities.
  • Recognize the early signs and symptoms of Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS).
  • Conduct basic vibration risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
  • Use appropriate PPE and safe work procedures to minimize risk.
  • Monitor and record vibration exposure in line with safety requirements.
